We have just travelled 1.5 hours on a dirt road to the nearest town that has an Internet connection as currently we are staying at a Fazenda in the middle of knowhere.  A vague Internet connection exists for mobiles at extortionate rates, but without such technology we headed out after being surrounded by coffee plantation for 3.5 weeks. The ´real world´ of this small town was a bit strange after this time. So we are currently staying at Puravida here: Exibir mapa ampliado We are learning all about growing and producing, as well as eating chocolate at Puravida. With great views across the river from our room with good people. cooking on "gas"! or wood as the case maybe with no electricity in sight... with resident vampire bats that share our guesthouse. But waking up to a view like this... then working with and eating the fruit from chocolate pods... ...everything should be good for a Happy Christmas and New Year. So Happy Christmas from us and the "Christmas Catapillar" Al and Laura
